THAIS HAVE STORIED HISTORY INSIDE LION FIGHT RING

From the very start, a main mission of Lion Fight was to bring the very best talent that the sport of Muay Thai had to offer from its home nation of Thailand to the masses – fight fans who had never before seen striking skills of this magnitude.

To say the least, Lion Fight has done that, right up to its most-recent event. Just three months ago at Lion Fight 62 in Dublin, Ireland, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee notched the 231st victory of his prestigious career and claimed the Lion Fight World Middleweight title in the process when he defeated Lion Fight World Super Welterweight champion Magnus Andersson.

Here is a look back at many of the notable Thais that have graced the stage inside the Lion Fight ring:

Yodsanklai Fairtex: Dubbed “The Boxing Computer” by combat sports writers in his native country, Yod made his Lion Fight debut in January 2013. It was quite a first impression as he registered a third-round knockout win over France’s Gregory Choplin. Just six months later, Yodsanklai won the Lion Fight World Middleweight title by taking a unanimous decision against Chike Lindsay.

Manasak Pinsinchai: Having already eclipsed 300 fights in his career, Manasak claimed the Lion Fight World Super Bantamweight title last May as he defeated Kevin Martinez in Monza, Italy. Manasak’s career resume includes a Rajadamnern world title as well as capturing prominent Toyota and Isuzu prominent tournaments championships.

Sakmongkol Sithchuchok: The three-time Lumpinee Stadium champion earned the 230thwin of his career at Lion Fight 3 back in 2011 when he topped Cosmo Alexandre via unanimous decision. Sakmongkol fought just once more after that victory.

Rungrat Sasiprapa: A spectacular flying knee ended the night back at Lion Fight 23 in 2015 as Rungrat dispatched of Kevin Ross in highlight-reel style. It was Rungrat’s 86th career win.

Malaipet Sasiprapa: The most prolific of all the Thais as he competed 11 times inside the Lion Fight ring, winning his debut at Lion Fight 4 with a split-decision verdict over Jose Palacios. Along the way, “The Diamond” earned wins over Sean Kearney, Justin Greskiewicz (twice) and Ben Yelle. He stands with a career log of 146-31-6.

Sittisak Por Sirichai: Unleashed at the inaugural Lion Fight event in 2011, Sittisak posted a split-decision win over Kevin Ross on that night, and later would take a decision win against Chris Mauceri.

Lerdsila PhuketTopTeam: One of the most charismatic and exciting fighters to ever make his way to Lion Fight, Lerdsila’s once boasted 100 consecutive victories. This engaging character also had some of the best nicknames in the sport – Mr. Lightning, The Eel, and The Mayweather of Muay Thai. The three-time Rajadamnern Stadium champion debuted in Lion Fight with a scintillating head-kick knockout of Jacob Hebeisen and then followed that up by winning the World Lightweight title by defeating Alexei Serepisos at Lion Fight 40.

Other notable Thai names to appear in Lion Fight include former Channel 7 Stadium champion Rungravee Sasiprapa, Petchtanong Banchamek, Coke Chunawat, Paowarit Sasiprapa, Kronphet Phetrachapet.
