Jason Miller’s strange odyssey through life beyond the cage took a very dark and potentially deadly turn today. “Mayhem” Miller (33) had a tough end to his MMA career, which sadly transitioned to his personal life. From his arrest for burglary (later the charges were dropped) after he was found in a Mission Viejo, California church, to his odd behavior during an interview with MMA journalist Ariel Helwani and numerous arrests for various domestic violence charges.
As bad as all that is, it pales in comparison to what entered into Miller’s life today.
As Miller was live tweeting authorities arrived at his home at 10:30 am PT, at that point Miller barricaded himself into his home according to Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sherriff’s Department
“He retreated into the house, was uncooperative with any of the commands by sheriff’s deputies, and based on that, we established a perimeter, called out the SWAT team and now we’re in the process of establishing communication with him inside the house,” Hallock said. “Our goal is to bring this to a peaceful resolution as soon as possible. But not knowing exactly what’s going on inside, we’re going to proceed with caution.” Hallock also stated.
“Wanna be soldiers” and “waste of resources” outside his house. He also said he wanted a “peaceful solution.”
“Just don’t let them shoot me,” Miller wrote among other personal depictions sent into the social media atmosphere.
It is very fortunate that this sad incident ended without tragedy as Jason Miller surrendered to the Orange County Sherriff’s Department at approximately 2:10 pm PT.
