Tim Johnson: “People pay to see a fight and I’m going to bring it to him”

Murfreesboro, Tennessee: Johnathan Ivey’s Cage Fighting Championships 9: The Return will take place on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Middle Tennessee Expo in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Tim Johnson is the #2 ranked Super Heavyweight in the CFC. On March 6th he fights the #5 ranked Super Heavyweight Lavelle Miller. He took time to sit with Roberto Villa CEO of FightBook MMA. Check out the interview below.
Roberto: Tim thanks for taking the time to talk with us before your big fight in the CFC on March 6th. Are you feeling ready to go?
Tim: I’m more then ready to get back in there! I stepped away a little over a year ago due to some personal things going on but now it’s time to come back!
Roberto: You’ve had some great success in the CFC. Including big wins over Michael Frey, Jonathan Nichols and Jeremiah Hill! It seems you have completely turned your career around in the CFC. What makes the CFC different for you?
Tim: The CFC is completely different then any other promotion in the state! If you look at how much Johnathan puts into promotion you will see why it’s awesome to fight on his cards!
Roberto: On March 6th you are fighting a huge man. The #5 ranked Super Heavyweight in the CFC Lavelle Miller. You have fought on past CFC events with Miller. What do you think of him as a fighter and of his fighting style inside the cage?
Tim: From what I’ve seen is that he likes to grapple. Which is not what the people want to see. I’m not going to sit here and shit talk but people pay to see a fight and I’m going to bring it to him!
Roberto: You have some impressive power in your hands which you displayed against Jeremiah Hill. Do you think you’ll be able to land those heavy shots against a man as big as Miller?
Tim: If I land my power shots on anyone they will go to sleep, it’s been noted.
Roberto: You are currently ranked #2 in the CFC Super Heavyweight division. I would assume you are paying alot of attention to the Super Heavyweight Title fight happening on March 6th. How do you see that fight going and are you wanting a shot at the winner?
Tim: Honestly I have one task at hand and that’s beating Lavelle. I’m not saying anything bad about Chase but I really hope Saigh can win the title and me and him can run our fight back!
Roberto: Tim thank you for taking the time to talk with us today. Are there and loved ones or training partners that you would like to thank before we go?
Tim: Thanks to anyone and everyone that follows me on this crazy journey! To all the fans that has bought a ticket and is going to come watch this dope card we can’t do it without you!
