Top flyweight prospect Daniel Barez returns at Naciones

Top flyweight prospect Daniel Barez returns to action this week at Naciones MMA 3 in Tijuana. Before the Contender Series alum’s fight, he caught up with FightBook MMA.

How is the life of Daniel Barez these days? Life is good. Training hard at the end of camp at the Entram Gym in Tijuana.

How excited are you to be back in the cage? I am very excited to fight again and get rid of the bad taste in my mouth from my last fight on Contender Series.

How would you rate your performance in the Contender Series? My performance I think was not the Dani that people are used to seeing because of my two-year inactivity. But I gave 100% of what I had that day

How much have you improved since your most recent fight? I think that every day I am improving and after this tough camp with the champion Brandon Moreno we are going to have a perfect performance

What does it mean to you to fight for Naciones MMA? I am super grateful for the opportunity that they are giving me and I assure you that I will not disappoint them.

What is your prediction for this fight? For this fight, I am sure that I will give 100% and I am going to win from the second 1 of the fight. I will be very aggressive and forceful with my striking.

Where would you like to be in a year? My dream without hesitation is to reach the UFC.

How would you like to be remembered as a fighter? I would like to be remembered as a humble and hard-working fighter. That life is left on top of the octagon.
