Trevor Smith will now face Tor Troeng at UFC Fight Night Dublin

Despite yesterday reports that Trevor Smith would step in to replace Bruno Santos, who was injured during training camp. It now is announced that that Trevor Smith will now instead face Tor Troeng (16-5-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 46 which will feature Conor McGregor vs. Cole Miller,the evene takes place on July 19 at The O2 in Dublin and streams in the U.S. on UFC Fight Pass.

Trevor “Hot Sauce “Smith (11-5 MMA, 1-2 UFC) made his debut into the UFC in July of 2013 at UFC on Fox 8, where he suffered a loss to Ed Herman by a spilt decision. He would then go on to face Brian Houston where the fight resulted in another split decision although, this time he managed to pull out the win. Smith’s last appearance in the UFC was against Thales Leites, where his hopes were quickly crushed losing quickly in the first round being knocked out only 45 seconds into the first round.

Tor “The Hammer” Troeng (16-5-1) made his debut in the UFC in April 2013 at UFC on Fuel TV 9, where he pulled off an impressive rear naked choke submission win in the first round against Adam Cella. The 31 year old Swedish fighter Troeng would next face Rafeal Natal at UFC Fight Night- Badar vs.Teixeira. However, this his time the fight went 3 rounds and he would suffer a loss by unanimous decision.
