The event drew an announced attendance of 15,077 fans for a live gate of $2,742,906.20. UFC officials announced the figures after the event.
UFC 248 took place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card aired on pay-per-view while the prelims on ESPN and ESPN+/UFC Fight Pass.
In the main event, middleweight champion Israel Adesanya defended his title for the first time with a unanimous decision win over Yoel Romero. In co-main event, Zhang Weili picked up her first women’s strawweight title defense with a split decision win against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Zhang Weili, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Beneil Dariush and Sean O’Malley each earned an extra $50,000 in bonuses. Weili and Jedrzejczyk earned the “Fight of the Night” while Dariush and O’Malley each won “Performance of the Night.” UFC officials announced the winners after the event.
Fighters took home their Reebok Sponsorship Payout totaling $257,000. The top earners were Israel Adesanya and Zhang Weili taking home $40,000 while Yoel Romero and Joanna Jedrzejczyk took home $30,000.
