UFC 270 Odds: Ngannou Predicted to Win against Gane

This Saturday is UFC 270, taking place at the Honda Centre in Anaheim, California.

For the headline event, current Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou will be facing off a challenge from interim Champion Ciryl Gane. While in the Flyweight division, Brandon Moreno will be defending his title from Deiveson Figueiredo.

Another Heavyweight bout was meant to take place, with Sergey Spivak fighting against former NFL player Greg Hardy. Hardy was forced to pull out a few days ago due to a finger injury he shared on Instagram, days after Spivak agreed to the match as a replacement for Aleksei Oleinik.

Other fights on the Main card include:

  • Michel Pereira vs. André Fialho in the Welterweight Division
  • Cody Stamann vs. Said Nurmagomedov in the Bantamweight Division

Ngannou vs. Gane

Francis Ngannou (16-3-0) will be fighting against Ciryl Gane (10-0-0) for the undisputed UFC Heavyweight championship title. This will be Gane’s first match since he won the interim title last summer against Derrik Lewis, as well as Ngannou first match since he bcame the champion last March. Gane has clean record and remains undefeated in his UFC career while Ngannou set a world record in 2017 for the hardest punch ever measured.

Parimatch’s UFC odds has predicted a close match but Gane might just have the edge

  • Ciryl Gane win 8/11
  • Francis Ngannou win 11/10

Moreno vs. Figueiredo

Current Champion, Moreno (19-5-2), has fewer wins and more losses than the former champion, Figueiredo (20-2-1). The pair have faced eachother twice before. First in 2020 at UFC 256, ending in a draw. The second match was at UFC 263 last summer, Morerno won the title by putting Figueiredo in a rear chokehold in the third round.

The odds suggest that Morerno will win and remain the Flyweight champion

  • Brandon Moreno win 8/15
  • Deiveson Figueiredo win 6/4

Pereira vs. Fialho

Michel Pereira (26-11-0) will be fighting against André Fialho (14-3-0) in the Welterweight division. Both Pereira and Fialho are coming off back-to-back wins, though Fialho may be entering the match more confidently due to four consecutive KO wins. Pereira and Fialho were scheduled to fight at UFC’s Fight Night earlier in the year, but Pereira had to delay the bout due to a positive COVID test from one of his trainers.

Pereira is predicted to win due to having nearly double Fialho’s wins on his record

  • Michel Pereira win 1/3
  • Andre Fialho win 9/4

Stamann vs. Nurmagomedov

Cody Stamann (19-4-1) is coming off two consecutive losses and will be looking to rebuild his career. Nurmagomedov (14-2-0) has had a shorter career than Stamann and hasn’t entered the ring since 2020 when defeated Mark Striegl by a KO in under a minute.

Nurmagomedov has good defence and is predicted to outlast Stamann, but it will be a close match

  • Said Nurmagomedov win 1/2
  • Cody Stamann win 8/5
