UFC confirm return to London for Fight Night billed event on March 19.

London Calling. The UFC have this Wednesday morning, officially confirmed their return to the capital for a UFC Fight Night London event on March 19. from The O2 Arena – with tickets for the event on sale to the general public on February 4. at 10 pm GMT. 

In an official press release from the organization, they confirmed plans to host a UFC Fight Night event on March 19. from London, England – marking the organization’s first outing in the United Kingdom since their March 2019 trip to the capital.

On that occasion, the organization hosted a 12-fight Fight Night card at The O2 Arena, featuring a welterweight main event between former division title challenges, Darren Till, and Jorge Masvidal – with the latter earning a Performance of the Night and Fight of the Night bonus courtesy of a stunning second round, one-punch knockout. 

The following March, the promotion were forced to cancel a scheduled UFC Fight Night London event amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the card ultimately scrapped entirely. On that occasion, another welterweight main event was booked to take headlining honors between former undisputed champion, Tyron Woodley, and Team Renegade BJJ & MMA staple, Leon Edwards. 

In an official press release from the organization this morning, they confirmed their return to London, England – as well as providing updates on ticket information for the event. 

“The wait is over! UFC has today announced its eagerly anticipated return to London for Saturday, MAR 19, at The O2, marking the promotion’s 12th live event in the English capital.”

“Fight Club and The O2 priority members can purchase tickets from Wednesday, FEB 2 at 9 am and 10 am GMT, respectively. Whilst newsletter subscribers and those who register their interest can gain early access to tickets from Thursday, FEB 3 at 10 am GMT. Tickets will go on general sale at 10 am GMT on Friday, FEB 4, via AXS and Ticketmaster.”

“Following previous sell-out events, sports fans are advised to register their interest or join UFC Fight Club.”

At the time of publication, an official headlining bout for the event has yet to be determined by the organization, however, the likes of the aforenoted, Till, lightweight finisher, Paddy Pimblett, and featherweight contender, Arnold Allen have been linked to appearances at the event – alongside other homegrown talents, Molly McCann, Tom Aspinall, Jack Shore, Muhammad Mokaev, and Jake Hadley.
