Paris, France: UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Tuivasa (also known as UFC Fight Night 209 and UFC on ESPN+ 67) takes place Saturday, September 3, 2022, from Accor Arena in Paris, France. The fight card and start times can be seen below.
In the main event, former UFC interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane meets rising contender Tai Tuivasa in a hard-hitting main event. In the co-main event, former middleweight champion and #1 ranked contender Robert Whittaker takes on #2 Marvin Vettori in an important 185-pound matchup.
Ciryl Gane (10-1) fighting out of Paris, France returns to his home country to take out KO artist Tuivasa. Gane is the former Interim UFC heavyweight champion, #1 ranked UFC heavyweight with four wins by knockout, and three by submission. He holds wins over Derrick Lewis, Junior dos Santos, and Alexander Volkov
Tai Tuivasa (15-3) fighting out of Western Sydney, New South Wales, Australia is looking to finish Gane with a statement win. He is currently 33 ranked UFC heavyweight with 14 wins by knockout and is on a five-fight win streak. He holds wins over Derrick Lewis, Stefan Struve, and Andrei Arlovski.
Robert Whittaker (24-6) fighting out of Sydney, Australia sets out to stop Vettori’s climb to UFC gold and assert himself as the next title challenger. He is the former UFC middleweight champion, the #1 ranked UFC middleweight contender with 10 wins by KO, five by submission, and holds wins over Yoel Romero (x2), Jared Cannonier, and Kelvin Gastelum.
Marvin Vettori (18-5) fighting out of Mezzocorona, Italy aims to take out the former champion and claim his spot as the top middleweight contender. He’s the #2 ranked middleweight with nine wins by submission, two via KO, and 11 first-round finishes. He holds wins over Paulo Costa, Kevin Holland, and Jack Hermansson.
Middleweight Alessio Di Chirico (13-6) fighting out of Rome, Italy takes on striker Roman Kopylov (8-2) fighting out of Bachatsky, Kemerovo, Russia. John Makdessi (18-7) fighting out of Montreal, Québec, Canada faces Nasrat Haqparast (13-5) fighting out of Rabat, Morocco in an exciting lightweight matchup.
Featherweights William Gomis (10-2) fighting out of Paris, France, and Jarno Errens (13-3, 1 NC) fighting out of Heerlen, Netherlands make their UFC debuts in an intriguing matchup. Charles Jourdain (13-5-1, fighting out of Beloeil, Québec, Canada takes on Nathaniel Wood (18-5) fighting out of London, England) in a hard-hitting featherweight bout.
Abus Magomedov (24-4-1) fighting out of Düsseldorf, Germany makes his UFC debut against Dustin Stoltzfus (14-4) fighting out of Germersheim, Germany at middleweight. Fares Ziam (12-4) fighting out of Givors, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France clashes with undefeated newcomer Michal Figlak (8-0) fighting out of Worcester, England by way of Poznan, Poland at lightweight.
Number 12 ranked middleweight Nassourdine Imavov (11-3) fighting out of Paris, France battles Joaquin Buckley (15-4) fighting out of St. Louis, Missouri. Benoît St. Denis (9-1, 1 NC) fighting out of Paris, France is set to face off against Gabriel Miranda (16-5) fighting out of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil in a clash at lightweight.
Bantamweights collide as Khalid Taha (13-4, 1 NC) fighting out of Dotrmun, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany hopes to take on Christian Quinonez (17-3) fighting out of Tijuana, Mexico. Stephanie Eggers (7-3) fighting out of St. Gallen, Switzerland meets Ailin Perez (7-1) fighting out of Concordia, Entre Rios, Argentina) in a women’s featherweight bout.
The main event will stream live on ESPN+ starting at 3 p.m. ET while the preliminary card will stream live on ESPN+ starting at 125 p.m. ET.
