This weekend is UFC on ESPN 34, taking place at the UFC Apex in Enterprise, Nevada. For the main event, a rematch between Vicente Luque and Belal Muhammad will be taking place.

Luque vs. Muhammad

Vicente Luque (21-7-1) and Belal Muhammad (20-3-0) first fought each other at UFC 205 in 2016. In which Luque won with a KO in less than 80 seconds. Muhammad got in position to strike with a kick and while unbalanced Luque jabbed Muhammad in the chin.

Since there first match, both fighters have climbed up the top of UFC Welterweight rankings, with Luque now sitting at 5^th with Muhammad following at 6^th position. Both fighters are coming off wining streaks.

With more wins more “performances of the night at different UFC events Luque is the natural favourite to win. Although this bout is a 5 round fight. Most of Luque’s wins occur within the first or second round, usually by going on the offensive with TKO or submission choke hold. While Muhammad’s wins come from endurance and lasting all three rounds. The longer the fight lasts, the more Luque may tire himself out and Muhammad’s of winning increase.

Bueno Silva vs. Wu

Another fight on the main card is a Women’s bantamweight bout between Mayra Bueno Silva and Wu Yanan. Both fighters could do with a comeback. Bueno Silva (7-2-1) lost her last match against Manon Fiorot in October and drew with Montana de La Rosa before that. Bueno Silva last won in 2020.

While Wu (12-4-0) has a longer losing streak, losing both her previous matches. Since signing with the UFC Wu has lost most of her matches, beforehand Wu competed in MMA tournaments largely in China and had an almost perfect MMA win record.
