UFC Glendale: Dustin Poirier vs. Justin Gaethje Main Card Preview

Glendale, Ariz. (Thur, April 12, 2018)–  UFC on FOX 29 takes place on Saturday April 14, 2018 at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. The main card will air on pay-per-view while the prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.

DUSTIN POIRIER VS JUSTIN GAETHJE

In the main event will be a fight between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje a fight that we can expect fireworks. What more can we say about this fight? Gaethje could be the closest thing to the late boxing Hall of Famer Arturo Gatti. Justin is one of those fighters that come to brawl and sooner or later he is going to have to change his fighting style of not, he’s going to have a really short fighting career. Both fighters are going to leave it all in the cage, so get your popcorn and pizza ready and have your friends over for a fight to remember.

CARLOS CONDIT VS ALEX OLIVEIRA

In the co-main event, Carlos Condit will face Alex Oliveira. Condit was supposed to face Matt Brown but due to Matt suffering a torn ACL, Oliveira got the call to fight Carlos as a late replacement. Olivera is just as aggressive as Condit so expecting nothing but an all out war!

ISRAEL ADESANYA VS MARVIN VETTORI

Israel Adesanya who is undefeated in the UFC isn’t worried about going toe-to-toe and taking a punch when he takes on Marvin Vettori. All though Adesanya isn’t afraid of his punches he doesn’t want to be in a standup battle with him. Vettori is a complete fighter with excellent striking, submissions and takedowns. This is another fight not to miss.

MICHELLE WATERSON VS CORTNEY CASEY

Michelle Waterson is known as “The Karate Hottie” with a black belt in American Freestyle Karate. Going against Cortney “Cast Iron” Casey Waterson should rely on her Karate background since she is the faster woman in hand speed and foot speed. Waterson needs to use her in-and-out movement and avoid the clinch. Casey with a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu is likely to want to take Waterson on her back. Casey can initiate the takedown or look to counter Waterson’s punches or kicks, this is where she stands a good chance at landing top position.
