A second UFC London card of the year has been officially confirmed by the North American organization – with the Octagon slated to land at The O2 Arena on July 23. in the United Kingdom capital.

In an official press release from the organization, they confirmed their second London card of the year, following a recent outing at The O2 Arena for a Fight Night billed event back in March of this year.

“London, UK – UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, today announced its return to London on Saturday, July 23, at The O2,” The official statement from the organization read. “UFC returned to the UK for the first time in three years in March for UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Aspinall, welcoming a sell-out crowd of over 17,000. Following the success of UFC’s return to the UK, the promotion will host it’s second event in London this year.”

Earlier this year, the promotion hosted a Fight Night billed showcase, headlined by a heavyweight clash featuring Alexander Volkov, and Tom Aspinall.

Scoring another Octagon victory since his July 2020 debut with the organization, Atherton native, Aspinall submitted former M-1 Global and Bellator MMA heavyweight champion, Volkov with a first round straight armbar win.

At the time of publication, an official headliner for the July 23. UFC London event has yet to be determined by the organization, with a handful of bouts reported for that date, however.

A flyweight matchup between the highly-touted, unbeaten, Muhammad Mokaev and promotional newcomer, LFA champion, Charles Johnson has been booked for the UFC Fight Night 212 card.

And yesterday, reports emerged detailing how a light heavyweight matchup between former three-time promotional title challenger, Alexander Gustafsson, and the #11 ranked contender, Nikita Krylov had been added to the event.
