UFC Vet and LOTC Hall of Famer Jason “BoneCracker” Fairn has passed away

It is with heavy heart to announce that UFC Vet and Legends of the Cage hall of famer Jason Fairn known as “BoneCracker” has passed away on Thu, February 15, 2018. His wife posted the announcement on his Facebook Page as seen below.

Jason competed in MMA from 1994 to 2010. He fought at UFC 4 which took place on December 16, 1994, at the Expo Center Pavilion in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jason took on Guy Mezger and lost via TKO by corner stoppage. This was on the same card where Royce Gracie went against Dan Severn for the UFC Championship Belt. Royce defeated Dan via submission triangle choke.

Fairn was a black belt in Aiki Jitsu under his father, David Fairn. In Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada, Fairn had a reputation as an underground fighter. It has been reported that he won 33 bare knuckle fights and worked as a celebrity bodyguard and as a stunt man. He continued to be active in the Combat Sports scene as he would give free lessons.

FightBookMMA and Legends of the Cage MMA staff would like to send our condolences to his wife and his family. May he rest in peace and he will be truly missed.
