Welterweight Showdown Set For AKA 29’s Featured Fight Of The Night

After an 8+ year layoff, Delanie Hall made his highly anticipated return to AKA action, earning a finishing victory at AKA 28. The hometown fighter will be set with another huge task at AKA 29 when he faces a dangerous Submission Boxing Academy fighter in Yoseph Morales. This matchup has been named AKA 29’s “Featured Fight of the Night.”

Hall enters this contest hot off of the heels of a first-round submission finish back at AKA 28 in April 2023. Though Hall gave up quite a height advantage in his last outing, he was still able to score a big takedown early. After re-visiting the mat, Hall fought his way to earning the rear-naked choke with about one minute left in the first round.

Not only was it amazing for the fans, but just as amazing for Hall himself to make his return. “It was amazing. Such a great feeling to come back after nine years, and come back into the fight game, the sport I love doing. Being able to compete against a good and tough opponent makes it look like I haven’t missed a beat. It felt great!” stated Hall.

Though Hall has looked great thus far in the welterweight class, a move down looks to be on the horizon. “I feel like it won’t take long to earn a title shot as long as my plans stay on track and I stay focused. I’m dropping down to 155 [lightweight] to compete at my normal weight class, but I’m not opposed to either division,” said Hall.

Hall did not disappoint in his last showing after the layoff. What can fans at AKA 29 expect this time out? “They can expect it to be a war. I’m coming to give it my all and leave everything in that cage; no regrets; no disappointments, just me handling business,” stated Hall.

There is truly nothing more dangerous than a debuting professional fighter, and that is exactly what Morales will be when he walks into the AKA 29 cage. With prior AKA experience, Morales walks in with a bit of familiarity with a feeling of dire to start his professional career off in the “W” column. Morales has shown an ability to take his opponent to the end of the contest and earn the judges’ nod. He will need to be careful of Hall’s strong takedown and ground game if he plans to earn a decision in this one.
