Tuesday March 17, 2015– Xcessive Force FC returns to GFL on March 20 with “Xcessive Force Fighting Championship 6”, a hotly contested card, emanating from the Entrec Centre in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. The mega card is sure to have enough heat in the cage to blow the roof off of the cold night in the Great White North as two TUF vets battle in the main event.
In the main event, UFC, Strikeforce and IFL vet Bristol Marunde (15-9) battles WSOF vet Michael Hill (7-2) in a bout being talked about across the territory. Marunde is on a 3 fight win streak and has defeated some very tough opponents during that stretch. Marunde comes into the fight with a decided size and strength advantage as he once fought as a middleweight. Marunde has 9 finishes and has fought a who’s who during his MMA run, starting very early when he was part of the IFL Tiger Sharks only a year into his career. Look for Marunde to try and connect early and often with strikes or use his vastly underrated wrestling to get the fight to the ground where he can work his ground and pound. Hill has 4 wins via TKO and can throw leather with the best of them. If this turns into a shootout, it will be a great fight for the fans. Hill comes into the fight looking to knock off the surging Marunde as well as push himself up the ladder in the stacked welterweight division.
WSOF vet Spencer Jebb (9-4) battles another WSOF vet in Cody Krahn (15-10) in other action. Jebb has won 7 of his last 8, 5 by stoppage, and will look to establish his striking game early. Jebb has shown an ability to dominate and dictate wherever the fight goes, and Jebb will look to steal the show. Krahn is a grizzled vet and has fought all across Canada since 2008. Krahn is a durable pro and brings KO power into the cage and can end a fight with one punch. Krahn has fought for some of the top organizations in Canada and looks to cash in on his success by taking out another high-profile name.
Watch all the knockouts, submissions and grudge matches as XFFC returns to GFL on March 20 with another installment of hard-hitting MMA with “Xcessive Force Fighting Championship 6” available to a global audience only on GFL.tv.
