5 new fights announced for Cage Warriors 95 in London
Cage Warriors have announced five new bouts for their July 21st card at London’s Indigo at the O2 Arena, including Ross Houston vs Nathan Jones, Paull McBain vs Steve Aimable and Jamie Richardson vs Phil Wells.
Each of Cage Warriors’ London events has seemed to surpass the one before, with the Indigo providing some of the most memorable scenes in the promotion’s history over the last few years. With four trips to London in the history books, Europe’s leading MMA promotion return on July 21st for the 5th anniversary, and have added a further five match ups to an already exciting card.
Undefeated welterweight prospect Ross Houston (6-0) will face Nathan Jones (11-8), a dynamic and experienced contender who’s 91% finish rate has seen him pick up 10 finishes since his pro debut in 2012. In his much awaited Cage Warriors debut, Jones will look to continue his reputation for providing fans with thrilling finishes and prove he’s still a title contender on the European scene. For Houston, this is another step up against more experienced opposition and a chance to extend his unbeaten streak.
Also in the Welterweight division, exciting up and comer Jamie Richardson will look to get back to winning ways against Phil Wells. These two fighters have a huge knockout ratio between them which looks to make this a fight very unlikely to go the distance! Pelu Adetola and James Webb, two fighters who made appearances at Cage Warriors mammoth Super Saturday card earlier in the year, will meet in the Middleweight division.
Featherweights Paull McBain and Steve Aimable will look to make a serious impression on July 21st, with the divisions’ title recently vacated by Nad Narimani after his UFC call-up. Expect an incredible war between these two, with both men aware that Cage Warriors management are looking for featherweight contenders to challenge for the belt in the future.
Scott Malone joins Ross Houston and Paull McBain as the third Scotsman on the CW95 card, and will face submission specialist Darren O’Gorman. Both men enter CW95 off the back of impressive wins earlier in 2018, and will look to climb one step higher into the Cage Warriors bantamweight rankings, ruled until very recently by now-UFC prospect Nathaniel Wood.
