Abdisalam Kubanuychbek on the road to become the GOAT of BRAVE CF
BRAVE CF Lightweight champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek is gearing up for his first de facto title defense as he takes on Georgian superstar Raul Tutarauli in the main event of BRAVE CF 87 in the Netherlands, on September 22. While this may appear as just another fight in the champion’s victorious career, for Kubanychbek, this is an opportunity to establish himself as the greatest fighter in BRAVE CF history, the GOAT of the most global organization in the world.
Since making his BRAVE CF debut in 2019 at BRAVE CF 32, the Kyrgyz fighter has been unstoppable, securing a first-round finish in his debut and following up with three more finishes against formidable opponents like Vagif Askerov, Jahongir Saidjamolov, and Rolando Dy – the last one sent a stark message to the entire Lightweight division, as Abdisalam made Dy quit on the stool, after the Filipino legend had been named the previous year’s BRAVE CF Fighter of The Year.
After a no-contest with Cleiton Silva at BRAVE CF 57, Kubanychbek claimed the interim Lightweight title by defeating Olzhas Eskaraev at BRAVE CF 59, further enhancing his reputation in the organization. He then became the undisputed champion by defeating Kamil Magomedov at BRAVE CF 69 and followed this with a win over former champion Lucas Martins at BRAVE CF 77. However, since Martins missed weight, the fight was non-title, making Kubanychbek’s bout against Raul Tutarauli his first official title defense.
Raul presents Kubanychbek’s toughest challenge yet. The Georgian fighter is on a three-fight winning streak and boasts 22 stoppage wins, nearly double the number of the champion. A former two-division champion outside of BRAVE CF, Raul holds top rank in nine different rankings across Lightweight and Featherweight, solidifying his status as the number one Eurasia fighter.
Kubanychbek not only faces the impressive credentials of Raul but also seeks to break the Lightweight title defense curse in BRAVE CF, where no champion has successfully defended the title. A victory over Raul would solidify Kubanychbek’s position as BRAVE CF’s most dominant champion and boost his claim to being the best fighter in the organization’s history.
BRAVE CF 87 will take place on September 22 in Alkmaar, Netherlands. The event will mark the organization’s second event in the Netherlands this year, following BRAVE CF 83, and is part of BRAVE CF’s 70-day world tour. Thus far, the most global organization in the world has gone to China, Pakistan, and Bulgaria, and will also land in Slovenia and Spain following the Netherlands event.
