Minsk, Belarus – Germany’s Marcel Grabinski is a few weeks away from the biggest fight of his life. He is set to take on former world champion Lucas ”Mineiro” Martins at BRAVE CF 51: The Future Is Here, on June 4th. It will be the first time he headlines a global event and is eager to leave an everlasting mark and march towards a title shot of his own.
And it looks like Marcel has started the mind games against Lucas, who is almost two years removed from his last bout and is coming off two losses after starting off his BRAVE CF career with two huge wins.
Speaking to BRAVE CF commentator Phil Campbell in the promotion’s official Instagram profile, Grabinski cast doubts on Lucas’ state of mind coming into their bout, going as far as saying that it was the Brazilian former champion’s ”last chance” to shine globally.
”Nothing but respect for Lucas. He’s good in all areas, he strikes well, he has good submissions. So, yes, he’s a good fighter. He has more than 20 fights, like me. When you compare the records, it’s almost the same. But he comes from two losses and his last fight was two years ago. So I don’t know how he’ll come into the fight right now, and what he’s been doing for the last two years or how mentally strong he is. I think it will be his last chance. I think he will give everything in this fight”, says Marcel, who believes he’s the superior fighter everywhere.
”I think I’m better in all areas, brother. I’m better at striking, and also on the ground. He never fought a fighter like me, believe me. It will be very hard for him”.
BRAVE CF 51: The Future Is Here will take place at the Falcon Club, in Minsk, Belarus, and will be held in association with Rukh Sport Management. Aside from the main event, fighters from all over the world will come to Minsk for a night of mixed martial arts that is set to transform the country and the region.
