Alexei Pergande The Future Of The PFL

Pergande Victorious In PFL Debut

Twenty-one year old Alexei Pergande is a fighter to watch out for in 2023. He went 2-0 this year in the PFL smart cage with victories over Joe Hamm and Elivis Lebron Quiles. Pergande proved that at a young age he can not only compete, but also defeat some of the top prospects in MMA. Already a combat sports veteran in his own right, he began competing in boxing and wrestling at the age of nine. He would go on to have eighty eight amateur boxing matches, while also wrestling through high school, and winning a ringside world championship. After this impressive run, he would transition to kickboxing, and in 2019 with two years of training, he won the Wako kickboxing nationals. This victory would catch the attention of Team USA, who invited him to compete in Bosnia, where he would place fifth in his division in the Kickboxing World Championships. Being such a decorated combat sports athlete, a transition to Mixed Martial Arts would be a natural progression for Pergande.

MMA Career

As a native of Tennessee, Pergande would make his MMA debut in 2019, competing in the Southeast regional scene. He would amass a perfect 4-0 record in this circuit, earning three submission finishes as well as a TKO stoppage victory. In 2021, Pergande capped off his impressive amateur run by winning the Valor Lightweight Championship. With the amount of success he was able to achieve in these promotions, a step up in competition became apparent. That opportunity would come, thanks to his management team at Ruby Sports and Entertainment. In April of this year at PFL Challenger Series 7, a debuts only fight card, Pergande would cash in earning a submission victory in the second round over Joe Hamm to secure a PFL contract. He would follow this up by earning a split decision victory over Elvis Lebron Quiles in a hard fought battle, this time at the Hulu Theater in historic Madison Square Garden. Having moved recently to South Florida, he now trains exclusively at Kill Cliff FC, formerly known as Sanford MMA, a historic gym that has been home to many past, present, and future Champions. The opportunity to train in a world class gym surrounded by some of the top fighters in the sport made the decision to relocate an easy one. Pergande looks to be active this upcoming year and with his skills improving daily, look for this star to rise as he climbs the rankings in the PFL. His time is now, and he is a fighter to watch out for in 2023. Stay tuned on  https://bloodsportz.com/ for more updates. Below is the video of our interview.
