Amanda Nunes is being featured on “The Body Issue” cover of ESPN The Magazine. With her being on the cover of ESPN, she now joins Ronda Rousey, Conor McGregor, Cris Cyborg, Miesha Tate, Gina Carano, Michelle Waterson, and Rose Namajunas. You will have to wait until Friday to get your hands on this magazine but a digital edition was released Wednesday.
As we all know, Nunes holds both the women’s bantamweight and featherweight titles. Nunes made history by ending Cyborg’s years-long reign over the 145-pound division with a first-round knockout to become the first UFC women’s champ-champ back on Dec. 29 at UFC 232. She was also named “Female Fighter of the Year” at the World MMA Awards in July. She defended her 135-pound title by defeating Holly Holm in the first round.
Amanda Nunes is set to defend her bantamweight title in a rematch with Germaine de Randamie in December at UFC 245. The main card is a pay-per-view event which takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Stay tuned as we will have more information regarding this event in the coming months.
