American Kombat Alliance 14 set for April 23: Krantz vs Norwood

American Kombat Alliance is set to take place on Friday, April 23, 2021. The promotion will be hosting AKA 14.
In the main event, the AKA Middleweight title is on the line as UFC veteran Derrick Krantz (24-12-0) will return to AKA to take on one of the South’s toughest and most skilled middleweights in Nolan Norwood (12-6-0). Krantz is no stranger to the big lights, unfortunately, he did lose his last bout against a very tough opponent in Kenan Song, and lost a hard-fought unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN+ 15. A victory at AKA 14 will result in AKA gold being placed around his waist. Fighting in the professional ranks since 2008, “D-Rock” is currently undefeated under the AKA banner with a 2-0 record. Norwood’s last fight in the AKA cage was against Quentin Henry and won his fight via first-round submission. He did lose his last bout against Kyle Daukaus by D’Arce Choke at CFFC 81: Sabatini vs. Gonzalez but he has his sites set for a win and get that belt around his waist. This will be a very exciting title fight so don’t blink, this could end quickly.
In the co-main event, AJ Fletcher (7-0-0) will meet Ariel Juarez (3-4-0). Fletcher is arguably one of the nation’s hottest prospects riding an undefeated record as a professional. Louisiana welterweight prospect “The Ghost” AJ Fletcher kept his undefeated record intact submitting Florida’s Wesley Golden by way of a head-and-arm choke at iKon Fighting Federation 5. Fletcher will be making his first appearance in the AKA cage at AKA 14. Ariel Juarez has been competing as a professional since 2015. Juarez is stepping into the AKA cage with boxing and kickboxing professional bouts under his belt. He did lose his last fight against Angel Luis Cruz by Keylock at Combate 48: Garland. The Texas native is dangerous on the mat winning all of his professional wins by submission. Luis is looking to add another submission win under his belt at AKA 14. This is a fight you don’t want to miss.
This is an all-ages event and will take place inside the Bossier Civic Center located in Bossier City, Lousiana. Event doors will open at 5:00 p.m. with the first fight scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The prelims will stream LIVE on Facebook while the Main card will air LIVE on UFC Fight Pass.
