Antonio Arroyo vs Joaquin Buckley added to the Sept. 18 UFC event

Joaquin Buckley (12-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) fighting out of St. Louis, Missouri returns to the octagon on Sept. 18 when he takes on Antonio Arroyo (9-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) fighting out of Soure, Para, Brazil in a middleweight bout.

No official venue is set but it’s dubbed as a UFC Fight Night and will air on ESPN+. Stay tuned to FightBook MMA as we will have all the full details leading up to this event.

Joaquin Buckley lost his last fight against Alessio Di Chirico via Head Kick in Round 1 at the 2:12 mark at UFC on ABC 1. Before that loss he won against Jordan Wright via Hooks at UFC 255: Figueiredo vs. Perez and won agisnt Impa Kasanganay by a memorable Jump Spinning Back Kick at UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen.

Antonio Arroyo comes to this fight looking to pick up his first UFC win. He earned a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series back in 2019, since then, he lost his first two UFC bouts to Andre Muniz at UFC on ESPN+ 22: Blachowicz vs. Jacare and Deron Winn at UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Neal both fights by by unanimous decision.
