According to Brett Okamoto & Ariel Helwani, a fight with Jorge Masvidal is close to completion.  If everything comes together we could see this fight as early as UFC 235 MArch 2nd at the T Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.

Diaz has not fought since he lost a decision loss to Anderson Silva in 2015. Later that result was changed to a no contest as both failed their drug tests.

Masvidal himself is coming off a year long away from the cage due to lingering injuries and an appearance a reality show.
