Back to back LFA events in Brazil

LAS VEGAS, Nevada —LFA CEO Ed Soares announced last month that the promotion will be going international in July. LFA will bring its first international events to the country of Brazil with a pair of shows that will be hosted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

LFA 111 and LFA 112 will feature top up-and-coming talent as well as a one-night tournament from the modern-day birthplace of MMA, which is Brazil.

LFA 111: De Sa vs. Bonfim goes down Friday, July 16th. The main event will feature a lightweight showdown between top lightweight prospects Rangel de Sa and Ismael Bonfim. LFA 112 happens two nights later on Sunday, July 18th. This event will feature a one-night, four-man tournament with the winner being crowned the new LFA welterweight champion. Both events will take place at the Upper Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The main card of both events will be available worldwide on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

“We are excited about our first two LFA events in Brazil,” stated LFA CEO Ed Soares. “Brazil is the birthplace of modern-day MMA and we were able to stack both fight cards with incredible talent. Rangel de Sa vs. Ismael Bonfim will headline LFA 111 on July 16th. This card will also feature the return of LFA standouts Ary Farias and Carlos Mota.

Then two nights later, we will host the first one-night tournament in LFA history at LFA 112. Diego Dias, Carlos Leal, Gabriel Bonfim, and Brenner Alberth will be the four participants. The winner will be crowned the new LFA welterweight champion. As the premier developmental organization in the world, we are now able to develop top Brazilian talent on their home soil.”
