INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Ryan Bader is now the first fighter to make Bellator history to simultaneously carry titles in two divisions after defeating Fedor Emelianenko at Bellator 214. This fight was in the main event for the heavyweight title and heavyweight grand prix finale.
The event took place on Saturday January 26, 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The main card aired on Paramount and streamed on DAZN while the prelims on Bellator.com. Below you will find the complete and official results and video highlights.
During this fight, you can see Bader was light on his feet as he kept moving in and out of Emelianenkos range. Baders patient paid off as he found an opening and landed a devastating left hand that sent Emelianenko crashing to the mat. Bader finished with a right hand and hammerfists before referee Mike Beltran stopped the fight in just 35-seconds in the very first round.
In the co-main event, Aaron Pico took on Henry Corrales. Pico landed a punch that sent Corrales to the floor but he was able to get up, gather himself, and started moving forward. They clinched and Henry was able to land a right hand that dropped Pico and knocked him out. This fight was called off at the 1:07 mark of the first round after Corrales landed another two punches during the fall.
