After seven professional MMA fights, with five wins and two losses, Frans Mlambo gets his first crack at a world title when he takes on Bantamweight champion Stephen Loman at Brave 13: Europe Evolution, set for June 9th, in Northern Ireland. And his team is optimistic about his chances in the rematch.
After losing their first encounter by decision, Mlambo has reinvented his fighting style and won three straight to set up another clash against “The Sniper”. And his head coach, world-famous John Kavanagh, believes “The Black Mamba” will prevail this time around.
“I predict that this time around, Frans will be able to defend Loman’s takedowns and will win by knockout. He’s earned his title shot with exciting finishes, both by submission and KO. He’s finding his way in the cage nicely now”, says Kavanagh.
Mlambo comes from a Boxing background and made the switch to MMA through the Amateur system, where he became a world champion for IMMAF before turning professional in 2015.
The South-African born, Irish fighter will headline Brave 13 against Loman, in a fight night that promises to be unforgettable as Brave makes its Europe debut. Also set for the event are the debuts of Karl Amoussou and Norman Parke.
