Brave 15 will be held at the Coliseo Bicentenario, in Bucaramanga, Colombia, on September 7th, and will feature some of the greatest Latin America talent in MMA today. The main event features the lightweight debut of TUF Brazil runner-up Godofredo “Pepey”, who takes on Alex “Rolo” Torres. Also in action will be CM System prospects Gabriel “Fly” Miranda and Geraldo “Luan Santana” Neto. They face Fernando Noriega and Jaime Cordova.

The fight card is truly a challenge between some of the greatest local MMA fighters in Brazil and talents from other Latin America countries, with Peru, Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina all represented. Next, we take a look at the main card of Brave’s first trip to beautiful Colombia.

Godofredo “Pepey” Castro x Alex “Rolo” Torres

After exciting fans with his stint in the UFC, former featherweight fighter and current lightweight Godofredo “Pepey” takes his talents to the already stacked Brave 70 kg division. First up is a tough task for the Evolução Thai product: Alex “Rolo” Torres, also a TUF alum.

While “Pepey” is known for his aggressive and forward style, Torres is a gritty fighter, who is not afraid of mixing it up, which makes for an exciting match-up for Brave 15’s main event. Both men know that only a win can move them forward to one of Brave Combat Federation’s most exciting and stacked divisions and that sense of urgency is sure to play a role in the main event.

Gabriel “Fly” Miranda x Fernando Noriega

Featherweight standout Gabriel “Fly” will finally make his Brave CF debut after weeks of speculation since his signing of a multi-fight deal. As he takes on dangerous peruvian Fernando Noriega, all eyes will be on the mat.

That’s because “Fly” became known as a wizard on the ground since 11 of his 12 wins came by way of submission. A Cristiano Marcello black belt, the brazilian is coming off three submission wins and wants a fourth stoppage to add to his resume.

Noriega, who’s also used to winning by submissions and is deemed one of Peru’s brightest prospects, wants to stifle his opponent’s game and wrestle his way to a victory that would put his name instantly on the hat of featherweight contenders for Brave.

Cleiton “Predator” Silva x Marcelo “Chelo” Bustos

After a ferocious win in his promotional debut, Cleiton “Predator” fights outside of his home country for the first time against newcomer “Chelo” Bustos. They will renew a rivalry between two South American giants in Brazil and Argentina. Both countries are rivals in other sports and Cleiton has already added fuel to the fire by saying he refuses to lose to his “hermano”, using the spanish word for “brother” in an ironic manner.

Bustos, meanwhile, comes in at last minute after Pedro Colman, from Paraguay, pulled out due to injury and is riding a two-fight winning streak, hoping to add a third victory in his international debut.

Ricardo Tirloni x Ramon Cardozo

In a clash between youth and experience, brazilian veteran Ricardo Tirloni, who has fought for other international promotions in the past, takes on youngster Ramon Cardozo, who’s four fights deep into his MMA career.

At the age of 23, “Bombardero” Cardozo hails from Mexico, a country known for hard-fighting athletes in combat sports, and he wants to use Brave’s platform to continue that tradition.

In order to that, however, he must get through a 27-fight veteran of the sport. At 35 years of age, Ricardo Tirloni, 20-7 in his professional MMA career, hopes to get his name in the conversation at lightweight in Brave and it all starts with a victory over a prospect in Cardozo.

Geraldo “Luan Santana” Neto x Jaime Cordova

One of Brave’s recent signings for the welterweight division, Geraldo “Luan Santana” will make his promotional debut with a high stakes fight against Peru’s own Jaime Cordova. Both men like to finish fights and this is one of the matchups fans aren’t expecting to go to the judges.

Geraldo forged his reputation with a mix of stand-up and ground skills, as his record reflects his willingness to mix it up wherever the fight takes place. The brazilian has six submissions and five KOs in his 11 career wins.

In the meantime, “Instinto” Cordova has focused on his ground game and uses his wrestling to neutralize his opponents and get the tap out. Who takes home the win in the opening fight of the main card?
