BRAVE CF 88 Official Weigh-Ins: both title bouts official as all fighters make weight

The stage is set for the biggest MMA event in Europe as all fighters successfully made weight for BRAVE CF 88, set to take place on Saturday, September 28, in Ljubljana.

During the official weigh-ins held on Friday, all four fighters involved in the title fights displayed professionalism by making weight on their first attempts.

For the Light Heavyweight title fight which serves as the main event, European star Erko Jun weighed in at 92.5 kg, while Germany’s Alexander Wesner came in at 93 kg. Both fighters are on impressive winning streaks and are eager to claim the vacant title; making it one of the most anticipated fights of this year.

For the inaugural Heavyweight title fight, Pavel Dailidko weighed 109.3 kg, and Patryk Dubiela came in at 110.3 kg, ensuring that the first-ever BRAVE CF Heavyweight title fight will happen at BRAVE CF 88. Valdrin Istrefi, who served as a backup for the title fight, also made weight at 120.6 kg but will not compete since both title contenders successfully made weight.

Slovenian superstar Monika Kučinič weighed 52.5 kg for her Strawweight fight against Fabiola Pidroni, who weighed 52.4 kg. Marina Spasič and Maristela Alves also made weight for their Strawweight matchup coming in at 52.6 kg and 52.4 kg respectively.

For the other two Heavyweight bouts on the card, Luka Podkrajšek, Michele Mirabella, Miha Frlic, and Samuele Di Guardo all came within the Heavyweight limit. Domen Drnovsek, who is looking for his second straight win in BRAVE CF, weighed 73.9 kg while his opponent Kristjan Toniste came in at 75.1 kg for their Super Lightweight fight.

For the lone amateur bout of the card, Kirill Negru and Ilia Sinani made weight on their first attempts, with Negru at 77.4 kg and Sinani at 76.1 kg, both within the Welterweight limit.

BRAVE CF 88, held in association with WFC, marks the second event in Slovenia for BRAVE CF this year and will mark a milestone moment for MMA in the region, as the organization prepares to crown two new champions.
