BRAVE CF Super Welterweights Cado and Dias to decide who’s the real number one in Brazil

BRAVE Combat Federation is synonymous with answering the purists’ questions. And this weekend, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, another fact will be uncovered when the two best Super Welterweights in Brazil face off for bragging rights and the unofficial ranking of number one fighter in their division.

In the one corner stands Luis Felipe Dias (14-4 MMA), a highly-respected athlete who was once ranked the Number One Welterweight in Brazil. The Rio de Janeiro-based athlete further built on his legacy when he earned two championship belts in Brazilian-based promotions Cidade da Luta and Shooto Brazil respectively.

The 27-year-old Dias has spent years honing his mixed martial arts skills, amassing an impressive record of 14 wins and four losses on some of the toughest MMA circuits. Only one of his 14 wins was left to the judges with the rest coming via stoppage, seven of which came by knockout/technical knockout.

”I’m the best in my weight class in Brazil. (Cado) is very tough but this is not about his trajectory, it is about mine, my win, and I’ll prove that I’m the best. They say 1+1 = 2, but 1+1 will be the number one, and that is me”, said Dias, confident that he will be able to take down his opponent.

Standing across from Lusi Feipe in the BRAVE CF cage will be one of Curitiba’s finest in Luiz Cado (14-7-1). Also known as Golden Boy, Cado is used to having the precious metal around his waist celebrating two Championship wins in his career thus far.

In 2016, the Evolução Thai-affiliated fighter won the Bushido (Samurai Fight Combat) Welterweight Championship. Three years later he was also crowned the Future Fighting Championship Welterweight king when he pulled off an extraordinary rear-naked choke in the first round against Wendell Giácomo.

Cado has built his combat sport foundation on stand-up and prior to becoming a Brazilian and an international MMA champion, he too was a Brazilian Kickboxing champion and his roots come through strong in the MMA cage with fifty percent of his wins coming via knockout.

”I’m feeling amazing, everything is where it should be and what it should be. So when I’m feeling like this, I feel like victory is mine already. He has been at the top in Brazil for a while, but now this is my time and I will make it happen. This is my victory and I will be the number one in Brazil. Then, I will be the number one in the world”, said Cado.

Luiz takes on Dias in a Super Welterweight bout at BRAVE CF 60 and these former champions will be fighting for bragging rights and the title of the rightful Super Welterweight king of Brazil in the BRAVE CF promotion.
