BREAKING: Artem Lobov Released From UFC, Isaac Vallie-Flagg Happy To Welcome Him To Bare Knuckle FC
On Tuesday (Jan. 29th, 2019), Ariel Helwani of ESPN broke the news that Artem Lobov, better known to his somewhat cult-like following as ‘GOAT’ was released from the UFC upon request.
The promotion wanted to schedule Lobov for April, but he didn’t want to wait that long, asking to be released from his contract.
He leaves the UFC with a 2-5 record, and overall 13-15-1 (1 no content).
Once news broke, Artem Lobov took to social media, tweeting:
Locked and loaded, ready to take on anyone and everyone!!! Who wants it!!?! 👊🇮🇪🇷🇺 @BellatorMMA @KSW_MMA @rizin_PR @bareknucklefc @ONEChampionship @ACA_League

Immediately, FightBook MMA got a hold of BKFC Founder and President, David Feldman, in which he informs us he is already in talks with the now former UFC competitor.
David Feldman via Facebook shared:
Again, almost immedietly, Isaac Vallie-Flagg, also a former UFC competitor showed his interest in the potential match-up, should Lobov sign with Bare Knuckle FC.
Isaac tells FightBook MMA, “I would love to fight Artem. He’s a hard hitting brawler, he’s not afraid to sit in the pocket and bang. The match up is a crowd pleaser and would be great for BKFC.”
Vallie-Flagg’s manager also added, “After hearing ‘The Russian Hammer’ was dropped by the UFC, we immediately wanted this fight! Isaac is a perfect guy to welcome Artem into the world of Bare Knuckle boxing with BKFC! Who wouldn’t want to see this fight?”
Artem Lobov is yet to sign anywhere as of yet, but is interested in MMA, Boxing and Kickboxing.
