BREAKING: Gegard Mousasi vs. Rory MacDonald for Bellator Middleweight Title Targeted for September

Well, the fans asked, Gegard Mousasi asked, Rory MacDonald asked, and now we shall receive.

Made official today, and reported by ESPN, the current Bellator Middleweight champion, Gegard Mousasi will put his title on the line in a super-fight bout against reigning Welterweight champ, Rory MacDonald.

Following their most recent wins, which resulted in both Mousasi and MacDonald becoming Bellator champion, both would ask president of the organization, Scott Coker for this fan favorite fight. Taking to social media, the MMA Hour, and other outlets to express their want for this ground breaking title fight, it is now official.

On Sept. 29th in San Jose, California, the two will square off for the 185lbs title.

Mousasi (44-6-2) will bring the greater combat experience, but MacDonald (20-4) is no stranger to tough, experienced fighters.
