Luana Pinheiro’s second Brave Combat Federation outing will have to wait a bit longer. The strawweight star suffered an injury in her hand during training and is out of her scheduled fight at Brave 20. She had only recently signed a bout agreement to meet Micol de Segni on december 22nd, in Hyderabad, India.
It would be Luana’s first international bout as she has had all of her MMA fights in Brazil. Pinheiro is a black belt in judo and has represented her home country at international level in the mats.
“Sometimes, things don’t go as planned! I was very happy and working hard for this fight, but unfortunately, I ended up breaking a bone in my hand during sparring last tuesday. I keep asking myself why this had to happen now, as I was in the best shape of my life, evolving every day, almost on weight, and very motivated. But I believe that God knows what’s best for all of us and He must be preparing something huge for me! I’d like to thank everyone that has helped me and also thank Brave Combat Federation for their support. Sooner than later, I’ll be back, doing what I love! Nothing can stop me!
Brave Combat Federation’s MMA fight schedule for 2018 will also feature Brave 19, which is set for the Sun City Resort, in Sun City, South Africa. Upcoming fights include a headlining duel between welterweights Adam Townsend and Mark Hulme
