Cage Wars: Desmond Hill vs. Luis Luna set for Saturday, April 13

ODESA, TX: MMA returns to Odessa, TX for the first time in years as Golden Eagle Promotions and promoter Isidro Castillo present Cage Wars.

Fighters stepped on the scale to make their mark before stepping into the cage. Below you will find the complete and official weigh-in results.

This event is highlighted by a rivalry 12 years in the making as Midland Tx native Desmond “Dez” Hill takes on “The pride of Seminole Tx” LFA vet Luis Luna. These two have been considered two of the top fighters in West Texas and while other issues prevented them from fighting the fans are finally getting what they asked for. Desmond brings into the fight a strong 4-0 professional boxing record with all of his victories coming by way of knockout and a strong 9-4 MMA record. Luna also sports an impressive 15-7 MMA record and has recently made his successful professional boxing debut. Both are looking to solidify their position among the elite in the state but only one can be named victorious.

Also on the card will be the much anticipated professional debut of Midland TX native Tedrick Macklin. This dynamic striker is looking to bring his impressive 6-1 amateur record into the pro ranks as he takes on Ysidro Portillo. Portillo ,who is also making his pro debut, returns to action after a 2 1/2 year layoff. Macklin on the other hand has been very active picking up victories all over Texas and New Mexico and is finally able to showcase his skills close to his hometown.

This fight card is surely going to highlight the best in this side of Texas. Including a flyweight bout between David Waters and Kelvin Martinez with both fighters looking to take the next step forward in their careers.
