Chris Gutiérrez vs. Vince Morales slated for UFC event on May 30th.

A bantamweight pairing between division upstarts, Chris ‘El Guapo’ Gutiérrez, and Vince ‘Vandetta’ Morales is expected to take place at a UFC Fight Night event on May 30th. – with the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada expected to play host.

Massachusetts native, Gutiérrez will make his premier appearance since last August – where he managed a close split decision win over Geraldo de Freitas Jr. at UFC Fight Night Montevideo. Ontario based challenger, Morales dropped his last outing to Benito Lopez – hoping to rebound from that May mishap. News of the 135-pound pairing was initially reported by MMA Fighting writer, Mike Heck.

Gutiérrez, 29 – debuted in the Octagon back in a short-notice submission loss to Raoni Barcelos at The Ultimate Fighter season twenty-eight instalment finale, back in November of 2018. The former LFA feature managed his first UFC win in a unanimous decision victory over Ryan McDonald. With six professional victories coming by way of knockout – the Factory X trainee presents a dangerous customer on the feet.

Beginning his Octagon career with a unanimous decision loss to top-ten contender, Song Yadong – Morales would then score his first promotional victory with a decision judging of his own against Aiemann Zahabi. A matching with Gutiérrez – offers Morales an opportunity to return to the win column, after his above-mentioned blemish to Lopez. Before his 2018 loss to Domingo Pilarte on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series – Morales had embarked on an eye-catching five-fight win streak.
