Among the new matchups announced today was a flyweight (125 pounds) co-main event affair between Hector “Kid Alex” Sandoval (14-4) and Jorge Calvo Martin (10-4).
Born in Uruapan, Michoacán, Mexico, the 32-year-old Sandoval fights out of retired, former world champion Urijah Faber‘s Team Alpha Male camp in Sacramento, Calif. and has held three different titles in the sport over the course of his 11-year career.
Fighting out of Chicago, Ill., the 27-year-old Martin of San Jose, Costa Rica is looking to rebound from a second round (4:57) knockout at the hands of Jaime Alvarez on January 25. Martin has earned 6 of his 10 career wins by way of (T)KO or submission.
