Combate Americas Fresno: Mexico vs USA Results

Fresno, California: Combate Americas returned to Fresno, California with a great show of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The promotion hosted Combate Americas Fresno: Mexico vs USA. The entire card aired live on AXS TV.
In the main event, Alejandro “Pato” Martinez defeated Adrián Guzmán by split decision with scores of 28-29, 30-26, 30- 26. This was a back and forth war as both athletes left it all in the cage.
In the co-main event, 21-year-old Maritza Sánchez went against Lucero “La Loba” Acosta. This fight starting out quickly as both fighters started trading shots with Sánchez able to land a cleat punch dropping Acosta to the mat. Throughout the first round, it was Sánchez who was dominating in the striking department and after a few minutes in the round, Sánchez was able to sink in a standing rear-naked choke submission win at 2:35 of Round 1.
