Cris Cyborg is no longer part of the UFC roster
In a video released by the company on Friday, UFC president Dana White stated that Cris Cyborg is no longer part of the UFC roster. You can watch the entire interview in the video above.
Cyborg’s UFC 240 victory over Felicia Spencer was her final fight of her contract. In the interview above, White also stated that Cyborg did not want a rematch against Amanda Nunes and that Cyborg has shot down this fight numerous times.
“All this other (expletive) that she’s putting out there – again, to avoid fighting Amanda Nunes,” White said. “Message received. I get it. I’m going to release her from her contract. I will not match any offers.”
White also stated:
“She is free and clear to go to Bellator or any of these other organizations and fight these easy fights that she wants. Done. Done deal. I will literally today have my lawyer draft a letter to her team that she is free and clear to go where ever she wants. We’re out of the Cyborg business.”
