UFC president, Dana White has confirmed that the UFC are open to the possibility of signing two-time Olympic Judoka, Kayla Harrison, and are “ready” to pen the undefeated mixed martial artist to a deal once her time with the PFL (Professional Fighters Leauge) comes to an end, and her and her team feel they are ready to make the transition to the Octagon.

Harrison, 9-0 as a professional mixed martial artist has taken the lightweight tournament during the PFL’s 2019 season, and extended her undefeated run in May to nine fights via a dominant first round knockout victory over Mariana Morais, a former KSW and Invicta FC feature.

The 30-year-old cut a promo following her stoppage win over the Brazilian, detailing how she was the “baddest woman in any room” following the victory.

Listen, this isn’t a tournament,” Harrison said during her post-fight interview. “It is a coronation and I’m the queen, okay? I’m not the one to talk a lot of crap. It’s not really part of who I am. But it seems like everybody from boxers to YouTuber idiots think that they can get in there. And that’s just not the case. So, luckily for the rest of the world, I believe in equal opportunity. So, if anyone thinks they can step to me they can come get in the cage. But from now on, I’m the baddest woman — in this room and in any room.

A feature in PFL since her professional debut back in June of 2018, Harrison has featured under the banner in all but one of her professional outings — briefly entering the Invicta FC cage back in November of last year against Courtney King — scoring a one-sided second round knockout via ground strikes. Harrison made her featherweight divisional bow at the event, but since returned to the lightweight limit in her win over Morais.

Harrison recently touched on the topic of potentially taking her talents to the Octagon during an interview with ESPN MMA, detailing how she would make the promotion a lot of money if they compensated her equally sizeable paychecks.

I think that if Dana (White) is ready to pay me a whole lot of money, I’ll make him a lot of money,” Harrison said. “I have stated many times, I’m ready to face the best in the world.

White featured on during an interview with Big Night Breaks recently, where he confirmed the promotion would be ready to pen Harrison to a contract if and when the 30-year-old and her team felt they were ready to make the transition.

Yeah, I know her contract’s up soon,” White said when speaking about Harrison. “I don’t know if she’s ready to come over here (to the UFC) yet, or her people feel she’s ready to come over here yet, but when she is, we’re ready.
