Dana White to give Jose Aldo title shot against Henry Cejudo after loss at UFC 245

LAS VEGAS: UFC 245 took place on Saturday, Dec. 14 at T-Mobile Arena. The main card aired on pay-per-view while the prelims on ESPN2 and ESPN+

In the main event, Kamaru Usman defended his belt against Colby Covington. In the co-main event, Max Holloway tried to defend his belt for the fourth against Alexander Volkanovski. In the co-feature bout, Women’s bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes defended her 135-pound belt against Germaine de Randamie.

Jose Aldo lost his bout by split decision against Marlon Moraes in his bantamweight debut. Even though he didn’t win, Dana White might give Aldo a title shot. UFC president Dana White revealed during the UFC 245 post-fight news conference that Henry Cejudo texted him asking for the matchup.

“Henry Cejudo texted me tonight and said, ‘That’s bullshit. He didn’t lose that fight. He won that fight, and I want to treat him like he did,’” White told reporters  “He wants to fight Jose Aldo.”
