Eduardo Mora seeks redemption at BRAVE CF 73 in Colombia

The path to glory for Eduardo Mora hasn’t always been an easy one, but at BRAVE CF 73, he has the chance to turn his career around in his hometown of Bogota.

BRAVE Combat Federation is gearing up for a mammoth event next month as the promotion makes its return to Colombia. While there are plenty of enticing fights to sink your teeth into, perhaps the most interesting tale comes from one of the nation’s own – Eduardo Mora.

‘El Burro’ has fought four times previously in BRAVE, but in his last three outings, he’s failed to pick up a win. Now, at this stage in his career, he needs to go out there and prove that he belongs when he steps into the cage against Keron Bourne.

While the defeats he suffered were to some of the best fighters in the division, such as Nkosi Ndebele and Hamza Kooheji, his record speaks for itself. He’s a formidable competitor with plenty of weapons in his arsenal, but if he can’t regain that confidence he once had, the future won’t look so bright.

Within Colombian MMA, however, it must be noted that he’s seen as an icon. He is the complete antithesis of what you’d expect from the South American region outside of Brazil, with nations such as Chile, Colombia and Argentina often being lauded for their striking-based success. Mora, meanwhile, takes that logic and flips it on its head.

He holds several titles in sambo from the Pan-American scene, and he isn’t afraid to showcase his skills from the first minute until the final horn sounds. Still, as admirable as his abilities may be, getting his hand raised is all that matters on August 12.
