EMC 5 Grand Prix Draw: Ismail Naurdiev returns this Saturday
Dusseldorf, Germany: Over the weekend the draw for the EMC Welterweight Grand Prix set to begin this Saturday, September 5 at EMC 5.
The draw is as follows:
- Semi-Final 1
Ismail Naurdiev (19-4) vs. Tymoteusz Lopaczyk (7-1) - Semi-Final 2
Amiran Gogoladze (10-1) vs. Pavel Kusch (23-7)
‘The Austrian Wonderboy’ Ismail Naurdiev comes into the EMC Grand Prix after a four-fight run the UFC. The 24-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in the sport today, has career wins over the likes of Siyar Bahadurzada, Michel Prazeres, Benny Alloway, & Georgi Valentinov.
He will face top Polish prospect Tymoteusz Lopaczyk, who will see this as an opportunity to make a name for himself and make a name for himself on the international scene.
Georgian prospect Amiran Gogoladze made his promotional debut at EMC 4 with a first-round head-kick knockout and prior to that the 22-year-old went 4-0 in the M-1 promotion. Now he will face eleven-year veteran Pavel Kusch, who is the most senior entrant in the Grand Prix. The 32-year-old has fought around the world in promotions such as Cage Warriors, M-1, and, most recently, PFL. He holds career wins over current UFC fighter John Phillips and Abubakar Nurmagomedov.
The main event for EMC 5 is Satoshi Ishii (21-11-1) versus former BAMMA champion & Bellator veteran Stuart Austin (14-6) for the inaugural EMC heavyweight title.
The fight card will also feature an important European welterweight contest between Germany’s Konrad Dyrschka (10-1) and Italian Bellator veteran Walter Pugliesi (7-2) and the return of Instagram star & KSW heavyweight Erko Jun (3-1) as he takes on Poland’s Damian Olszewski (2-3).
