Any hidden talents?
My wife says my hidden talent is wanna be superhero. One time I was at the grocery store when a shoplifter came running out, so I tackled him and held him down until police got there. Then there was a time when her dog swam under a sheet of ice and had to save it. Basically, I’m always around when weird things happen. Just the other day I found two little kids in the parking lot at a grocery store.
Coaching my kids has become a hobby. I used to play softball for fun, but I enjoy coaching kids much more now.
Best way to spend a Friday night?
Coaching my kids’ soccer teams and then jumping on the side by side and ending it around the fire pit with friends.
How would your closest friends describe you?
Loyal and very old school.
How would your kids describe you?
Always having fun and making the best of whatever we do.
So many! GSP for the way he carries himself, but I always loved watching Robbie Lawler, Mike Chandler and Melvin Manhouf.
Favorite all-time fight?
Chandler vs Alvarez.
Favorite subject in school?
Gym for sure.
Listening to now?
Toby Keith’s “Made in America” because my kids won’t stop listening to it all day long (laughs).
Favorite TV show?
I like The First 48, 30 for 30, E:60, but I don’t watch a lot of TV. Movies put me right to sleep.
Life’s about choices. You can focus on positive or negative. It’s up to you.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner?
Favorite cheat meal?
Homemade jalapeño poppers.
Most important goal for you right now?
Winning mentally in EVERYTHING!
How would you like to be remembered when it’s all said and done?
That I made a positive impact in many people’s lives.
