Fernando Padilla makes his UFC debut against Sean Soriano on Oct 2

Fernando Padilla (14-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) fighting out of Chihuahua, Mexico will be making his UFC debut and he will do it when he faces Sean Soriano (14-7 MMA, 0-4 UFC) fighting out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Walker will take place on on Saturday, October 2, 2022. Venue or location has yet to be announced, but it is likely that event will air and stream on ESPN and ESPN+.

This past May, Padilla was able to defeat Cameron Graves with a second-round TKO to win the Fury FC featherweight title. This event took place the night after UFC 262 in Houston, Texas which of course UFC president Dana White was in attendance scouting fighters. It didn’t take long for Dana to sign Padilla after his win.

Soriano went 0-3 under the UFC banner and after his release from the UFC, he fought for Legacy FC, CES MMA and CFFC. Soriano returned to the UFC after a three-fight win streak, he’s still looking for a win with the UFC. In his last UFC fight he was submitted by Christos Giagos with a second-round D’Arce choke at UFC 262.
