At just twenty-two years old Miranda “Fear The” Maverick (6-2) has already established herself as one of the best flyweights on the Invicta FC roster. The winner of the Phoenix Series 2 tournament back in September. Maverick dispatched of Shanna Young (7-2), Victoria Leonardo (6-1), and avenged a prior loss to DeAnna Bennett (10-6-1) to capture the Phoenix Series trophy.

Maverick will look to move one step closer to the title fight she has been looking for as she will take on Pearl Gonzalez (10-4) in the co-main event of Invicta 39. Gonzalez who has just one loss inside the Invicta FC cage to flyweight champion Vanessa Porto (20-8) will probably be the toughest test to date for Maverick.

Looking forward to the challenge Miranda Maverick sat down with FightBook MMA ahead of her number one contender bout Febuary 7th at Invicta 39 from Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas and live on UFC Fight Pass. We talk daily life, fight camp, perusing a PhD, and more. Listen to the full interview below.
