Frank Camacho vs. Matt Frevola on deck for UFC event on June 20th.

A lightweight matching between heavy-hitter, Frank ‘The Crank’ Camacho, and streaking challenger, Matt ‘The Steamrolla’ Frevola is slated to take place at a UFC event on June 20th. – with the UFC Apex gym in ‘Sin City’ earmarked as a potential host for the card.
Camacho, 31, will make his first appearance since October of last year – where he dropped an opening frame rear-naked choke loss to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu standout, Beneil Dariush. New York native, Frevola – has managed to secure victories in his last two, taking a split decision triumph over TUF alumni, Luis Pena. News of the pairing was first penned by MMA Junkie reporter, Nolan King.
Guam-born striker, Camacho – made his Octagon bow back in June of 2017, losing a unanimous decision to welterweight upstart, Li Jingliang. In his next outing, Camacho took a close split decision over current RIZIN FF lightweight, Damien Brown – tipping the scales at 160-pounds for his lightweight return.
Making the leap back to 170-pounds after the botched weight cut, the Spike 22 trainee dropped losses to the streaking Drew Dober, and kickboxing ace, Geoff Neal. Last June in Stockholm – Camacho successfully made weight upon his return to lightweight, taking a second-round knockout over Nick Hein. Camacho was scheduled to meet Alan Patrick at UFC Fight Night Lincoln at the end of April – until the entire event was postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
A product of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series – 29-year-old challenger, Frevola earned an Octagon appearance following a slick arm-triangle win over Jose Flores back in August of 2017. In his first walk under the UFC banner, the Matt Serra student dropped a knockout loss to Marco Polo Reyes. Following a draw with the creative Lando Vannata at UFC 230 – Frevola would go on to win his next two, taking decision victories over Jalin Turner, and the aforementioned, Pena. Before his above-noted defeat to Reyes – the submission grappler had amassed a 6-0 professional record.
