When and why did you start training for fighting? I’ve wrestled and played multiple sports from an early age. This fueled my desire to compete, train MMA, and eventually take my first amateur fight right out of high school. I’ve been training jiu-jitsu since I was 15 and wrestling since I was four years old.

What ranks and titles have you held? BJJ purple belt, 2x Minnesota State wrestling placer, JUCO wrestling experience. Submission Hunt champ

Do you have any heroes? Fedor Emelianenko

What would it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Fighting in the UFC is a goal I’ve been striving for ever since I was wrestling in high school. I always envisioned myself competing at the highest level in something.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Itasca Community College – no degree.

What was your job before you started fighting? Working with the mentally disabled.
