GLORY 91: Spectacular Night of Knockouts and Defining Moments

GLORY kickboxing returned to France with GLORY 91 on Saturday night, April 27, at the electric Dome De Paris. It turned out to be one of the most eventful nights in GLORY history with knockouts, upsets, and defining moments.

The GLORY welterweight title changed hands in spectacular fashion in the main event as Chico Kwasi (43-5, 23 KO) dethroned the seemingly unbeatable Endy Semeleer (36-2, 18 KO) via TKO after sending the former champ to the canvas three times in the second round.

The unpredictable Bahram Rajabzadeh (67-2, 59 KO) made a winning return to the light heavyweight division in the co-main event with another incredible knockout victory over French slugger Kevin Oumar (33-5, 7 KO). Afterwards, it was confirmed that Bahram will enter the GLORY Light Heavyweight Grand Prix set for June 8 in Rotterdam.

Budding French star Pascal Touré (20-6, 7 KO) scored the biggest win of his career with a decision win over Mo Amine (29-7, 16 KO) to qualify for the GLORY Light Heavyweight Grand Prix.

Elsewhere on the main card, Belgian veteran Youssef Boughanem (188-43-8, 120 KO) defeated the Ukraine’s Stanislav Kazantsev (25-9-1, 7 KO) due to a doctor stoppage, French heavyweight Sofian Laïdouni (36-3-1, 18 KO) got back to winning ways and beat Vladimir Tok (51-20, 28 KO) due to an injury, young Moroccan Soufiane Abdelkhalek (4-2-1, 2 KO) scored an upset victory over Cyril Benzaquen (57-13-3, 8 KO), and French veteran Bobo Sacko (76-6-1, 30 KO) devastated David Mejia (61-18, 18 KO) with a big one-punch KO.

In the GLORY 91 prelims, Robin Ciric (22-7, 7 KO) beat Diaguely Camara (24-6-1, 10 KO), Mehdi Ait El Hadj (32-4-2, 8 KO) defeated Ismail Ouzgni (4-2, 1 KO), and Ramy Deghir (6-1, 1 KO) got Florian Kroger (19-11, 6 KO) via unanimous decision (30-27 x 5).
