Oscar winner Halle Berry will be training jiu-jitsu with UFC’s Brian Ortega for film role.

Ortega is going to help train Halle Berry for an upcoming movie “Bruised.” Helle Berry is starring in this movie and she’s also making her directorial debut. Ortega will help train Berry’s jiu-jitsu for the film.


Ortega spoke to TMZ.com about his role and you can watch the video above. Berry will star as a former MMA fighter named Jackie Justice and the movie is by Michelle Rosenfarb.

The plot follows Jackie “Justice,” a disgraced MMA fighter who has failed at the one thing she’s ever been good at – fighting. When 6-year-old Manny, the son she walked out on years ago, returns to her doorstep, Jackie has to conquer her own demons, face one of the fiercest rising stars of the MMA world, and ultimately fight to become the mother this kid deserves.” – Per Deadline.com

Ortega suffered his first loss of his pro career back in December when featherweight champion Max Holloway defeated him with a fourth-round TKO at UFC 231. Ortega’s corner stopped the fight after 20 minutes as he was too battered to continue. Even though the fight was stopped, he was still awarded “Fight of the Night.”

The 52-year-old Berry won a Best Actress Oscar in 2002 for her role in “Monster’s Ball.” Berry also has two Screen Actors Guild awards, a Golden Globe and an Emmy. Berry’s most high-profile film roles include Storm in several X-Men movies; a famous Bond girl in “Die Another Day” and Catwoman. She also appeared in the “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” sequel and she will co-star in “John Wick 3” alongside Keanu Reeves.
