Heavyweight Brawler Alex Nicholson To Duel Hard-hitting Prince Mclean On Nelson Vs. Belcher Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA Event On November 10

BILOXI, MS. – All-action heavyweight brawler Alex “The Spartan” Nicholson will now face hard-hitting striker Prince McLean on Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA event on Friday, November 10 from Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi and streaming live on the Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA YouTube Channel.

McLean will step in to replace Dillon Cleckler, who was originally scheduled to face Nicholson before tearing his bicep in training camp preparing for the fight. Cleckler had successful surgery to repair the injury and is recovering well. With the change, the previously announced showdown between Jason “The Kid” Knight and Randy “The Zohan” Costa will now serve as the co-main event.

The event is headlined by a showdown between heavyweight titans Alan Belcher and Roy “Big Country” Nelson, a matchup between fan-friendly combatants that is sure to lead to fireworks when they go toe-to-toe.

Tickets for the live event are going fast, with floor seats almost sold out. Remaining tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com.

Fighting out of Orlando, Florida, Nicholson had been set to rematch Cleckler after winning their 2015 Island Fights showdown in spectacular fashion with a spinning backfist in the second round. The 33-year-old is a veteran of UFC and PFL throughout a pro career that dates back to 2014. He will be competing for a Masvidal promotion for the third time, having defeated Tony Lopez and Johnathan Ivey at different events in 2021.

Originally from Cincinnati and training in Finland, McLean has received acclaim for his striking prowess throughout a pro MMA career that dates back to 2006. McLean burst onto the scene with four consecutive professional victories, eventually earning an exhibition fight on The Ultimate Fighter season seven. He returned from nearly a decade away from pro MMA in 2021 by stopping Jordan Mitchell via strikes, and Petr Romankevich via rear naked choke. Most recently he challenged Matthew Byfield in March 2023.
