Las Vegas – The UFC® first event of 2019 in Las Vegas will feature two highly anticipated world championship fights.
In the main event, light heavyweight champion Jon Jones (23-1, 1 NC) will take on No.3-ranked contender Anthony Smith (31-13). In the co-main event, welterweight champion Tyron Woodley (19-3-1) will defend his title for the fifth time against No.2-ranked contender Kamaru Usman (14-1).
UFC® 235: JONES vs. SMITH takes place on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from T-Mobile Arena and will air live on Pay-Per-View. Below you can take a look at the UFC 235 event info and fight card with start times.
Jones fighting out of Albuquerque, N.M. was able to reclaim the light heavyweight championship back in December with a TKO win over Alexander Gustafsson. Jones is now looking to extend his record for most light heavyweight championship title defenses.
Smith fighting out of Omaha, Neb. is looking to shock the world by dethroning Jones. Anthony is a hard-hitting KO artist he’s delivered a very impressive highlight-reel finishes against Rashad Evans, Shogun Rua and Volkan Oezdemir. Smith is coming into this fight with his sights on capturing UFC gold.
Woodley fighting out of St. Louis, Mo. is looking to continue his winning ways by stopping Usman. He’s beaten Darren Till, Demian Maia, Stephen Thompson, Robbie Lawler and Kelvin Gastelum.
Usman fighting out of Boca Raton, Fla. by way of Auchi, Nigeria is currently riding a 13-fight win streak that extends more than five years. He’s earned impressive victories against Rafael Dos Anjos, Demian Maia, Sergio Moraes and Sean Strickland.[poll id=”95″]
